Resolution Of The Township Of Lakewood, County Of Ocean, State Of New Jersey, Authorizing A Contract Extension To Larson Ford To Provide Vehicle Repair Service Pursuant To N.J.S.A. 40a:11-1et Seq. | |
| | | | | | | | WHEREAS, the Lakewood Township is in need of constant repair and maintenance for its fleet of Ford vehicles; and
WHEREAS, a contract for said service was awarded on August 17, 2023 to Larson Ford Inc., 1150 Ocean Avenue Lakewood, NJ 08701 as the lowest responsive and responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the specifications of the original bid provided for a two-year contract with an extension option of an additional two years and, as provided by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15, “any price change included as part of an extension shall be based on the price of the original contract as cumulatively adjusted and shall not exceed the change in the index rate at the time of the contract renewal”; and
WHEREAS, the Township Committee wishes to exercise the above referenced option and extend the award for the additional two years; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:30-5.4, the Chief Financial Officer will certify the availability of sufficient funds when required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
That a contract extension for vehicle repair services shall, hereby, be awarded to Larson Ford Inc., 1150 Ocean Avenue Lakewood, NJ 08701 for an additional two-year term ending August 17, 2027.
1. That the Mayor or Deputy Mayor, or their designee, are hereby authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to a contract for the aforesaid service.
2. That the Township Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the following:
A. Municipal Manager
B. Chief Financial Officer
C. Purchasing Agent
D. Larson Ford |
