2022-072 Resolution Of The Township Of Lakewood, County Of Ocean, State Of New Jersey, Authorizing The Execution Of An Shared Services Agreement – Truck Wash, Between The Township Of Lakewood And The Borough Of Beach Haven. | |
| | | | | | | | WHEREAS, the Uniform Shared Services and Consolidations Act, N.J.S.A. 40:65-1 authorizes municipalities and other local governmental entities to enter into an agreement, among other things, for the sharing of services; and,
WHEREAS, the Borough of Beach Haven (“Borough”) desires to enter into a Shared Services Agreement with the Township of Lakewood (“Township”) for the Borough’s use of the Township’s truck wash facility at the Public Works Complex; and,
WHEREAS, the Borough shall reimburse the Township at a rate of $45 per wash.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Lakewood will share the use of its truck was to Beach Haven for the purpose of cleaning Beach Haven’s garbage trucks.

3. Beach Haven shall reimburse Lakewood for the use of its truck wash at a rate of $45 per wash.
4. That the term of the aforesaid agreement will be for a period of one-year (1) year and may be extended annually by agreement of the parties. Either party may terminate this agreement on 30 days notice to the other.
1. Access to the facility will be by chip key and Borough shall be billed quarterly.
2. That the Mayor and/or Deputy Mayor are hereby authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to a Shared Services Agreement between the Township and the Borough.
1. That the Township Clerk shall forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the following:
A. Municipal Manager.
B. Chief Financial Officer.
C. Public Works Director.
D. Borough of Beach Haven.
