2022-070 Resolution Of The Township Of Lakewood, County Of Ocean, State Of New Jersey Regulating Purchasing Controls For Township Vendors | |
| | | | | | | | WHEREAS, the current pandemic has delayed purchasing and payments to vendors; and
WHEREAS, difficulties in making timely payments to contractors and vendors is not equitable and no fault of contractors or vendors; and
WHEREAS, The Township Committee of the Township of Lakewood needs to promulgate rules for these occasions; and
WHEREAS, the Township Committee has agreed that bills may be paid outside of a Township meeting date if the bills are certified to be paid by the municipal manager before a regular Township Committee meeting but ratified at the following meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Bills and payments to contractors and vendors my be paid outside of a Township meeting date if the bills are certified by the township manager; and
2. Be it further resolved that those payments be ratified and memorialized at the following Township Committee meeting.
